Since the first ROA meeting in October of 1922, ROA has been a well-respected and highly valued organization. General John Pershing and other senior military leaders formed the ROA with membership comprising active, retired and Reserve/Guard officers. In 1950, ROA was chartered by Congress "...to support and promote the development and execution of a military policy that will provide adequate national defense." Since then, ROA has become the voice of the Reserve Force in the halls of Congress, in the White House and in the councils of government. ROA works diligently to improve pay, benefits, equipment and training for America's citizen-soldiers. As a ROA member, you contribute to the programs implemented on behalf of Reserve/Guard forces.
